Bowls
All of these bowls are harvested locally. The Honey Locus and Scrub Oak are from my neighborhood, I helped a friend with a tree and snagged some walnut, took some branches and yard waste to the Provo compost yard, and ended up taking more wood home! :)
Left is mystery wood, picked it up at the composte yard, I think it might be elm. 6 1/2" wide by 2" deep.
Right is walnut, about 8" x 2", nice bowl.
Top Picture, left is a set of scrub oak bowls (from my back yard), they have a nice grain pattern, one is 6 1/2" the other 5 1/2" both about 1 1/2" deep
Top Picture, right is a small set of honey locust bowls, 4 1/2" and 3 3/4" and both are about 1 3/4" deep, from a Quail Valley tree!
These are both Honey Locust (from Quail Valley), heart wood, the one on the right is 8" w x 2 1/2" deep with a nice solid base. The one on the left is 7 1/2" w x 3 1/2" deep, this one has a thicker wall and a substantial base, it is a heavier bowl, very sturdy.
The top bowl is scrub oak from my back yard... how cool is that. 6" w by 2 1/2" deep
The bottom are a set of birch bowls, about 4" wide by 2" deep
